Cyclodextrin is a type of cyclic oligomeric maltose consisting of D-glucose units linked by α(1-4)-glycosidic bonds. β-cyclodextrin is a cyclic compound consisting of seven glucose molecules in succession, with a slightly conical hollow cylindrical three-dimensional ring structure, in which the outer side of the cavity structure is hydrophilic, while the inner part of the cavity is hydrophobic due to the shielding effect of C-H bonds. This special structure makes it possible to encapsulate different compounds, such as organic molecules, rare gases, inorganic compounds, etc., to form compounds. It is widely used in pharmaceutical, food, chemical, material science, environmental protection, and analytical fields.
