FUNCTION
1) Suitable for diabetic patients to eat, will not cause the rise of blood sugar and insulin.
2) Non-cariogenic. Streptococcus mutans in oral cavity can not be decomposed and utilized. No acid and glucan are produced.
3) Isomaltose hydrolyzes slower than sucrose and absorbs more slowly than sucrose, so isomaltose can be used as sweetener for diabetes mellitus.
