Weingut Heinrich Vollmer is one of the most famous and traditional German wineries with a high reputation among connoisseurs as brand name, many years of family tradition and experience in viniculture. On his German vineyards Heinrich Vollmer growes different traditional and modern grape sorts. It is a real challenge for a wine producer if he intends to produce wines like Heinrich Vollmer, according to the stringent German quality criteria. His wines are fruitful but not too flowery, dry but not dust dry with perfect acid-sweet balance, but not boring, and especially very stomach friendly.
Heinrich Vollmer has brought his experience to Argentina and is growing there different traditional and modern grape sorts. The vineyards of the winery Bordega Enrique Vollmer are located in the western Argentinean viniculture area Valle de Uco near Mendoza at the slopes of the Andes Mountains. Due to the perfect climatic conditions this valley is one of the best viniculture regions in South America. The location of the vineyards 1000m above sea level with bright sunlight and high temperature differences between day and night are preferred conditions for the grapes growing to full flavour. The Argentinean wines were produced by Heinrich Vollmer like his German ones according to the stringent German quality criteria creating a very special Argentinean wine character.
The wineries of Heinrich Vollmer are equipped with modern storage and bottling facilities as well as huge wine cellars where the wines can ripe in oak barrels (barrique) from German and French forests.
As the vineyards of Weingut Heinrich Vollmer are located on both sides of the globe there is harvest time in September-October (Europe) and March-April (South America) and wine production and delivery season is all arround the year. That is one of the reasons of our nearly unlimited delivery capacity.
