Cantina Liquorificio Gambrinus has its home on the edge of the majestic park of the same name in San Polo di Piave, and was created when the wines and spirits home-produced by the Zanotto family for many years began to attract a growing number of devotees. The rise in demand encouraged the founder proprietor, Giacomo and today Adriano Zanotto,to set up production to meet the increasing requirements.
The secret of success for Gambrinus products lies in the will to faithfully maintain traditional techniques and recipes, so that wine, grappa and liqueurs exude all the fascination of ancient traditions in the "Land of the Doges" from which they originate.
It is with this spirit that we present our production, in particular our Elisir Gambrinus, the jewel in our crown. Made from a treasured family recipe created in 1847, it still requires the use of selected Raboso grapes from the stony banks of the River Piave, 3 year-old grappa and entirely natural aromas, and is aged for 5 years in oak casks. Just as it always has been.
