However, the GMP levels in whey protein isolate are influenced by how the WPI is manufactured. Most WPIs are manufactured by ion exchange (IX) or microfiltration (MF). WPI from Hilmar Ingredients, derived from fresh sweet whey, is manufactured by a special cross-flow filtration process and isolated via a proprietary fractionation process. Because of this unique process, Hilmar Ingredients WPIs have enhancements in bioactive fractions and functionality.
Whey protein isolate powder works great as part of a calorie controlled diet. Whey protein isolate has the lowest fat content of any protein around. Almost all the fat content of milk is removed during the processing of it to become an isolate. Whey Protein Isolate is not a drug, but a dietary supplement.
