Tasting Note Shimmering with black berry and Cherry flavours, Hartenbergs 2005 vintage is renowned for its full-bodied and complex richness. Soft and delicious, the king of red wine. |
Independent Tasting Note "Textbook cellar-worthy cab;: For starters there's cassis, forest floor, ink and gentle oaky notes, then smooth taut tannins and a dense fruit core." - Platters (2007) |

WE CAN WIN ALL THE AWARDS IN THE WORLD, BUT THAT ALL MEANS NOTHING IF WE DON'T HAVE A WORLD. On Hartenberg, Nature has blessed us. Not only do we have the ideal soils and climate to make world-beating wines, but also some of the most beautiful nature anyone could ever wish to see. And we intend to keep it that way. Heres how: Half of our farms 170 ha is - and shall remain - uncultivated. There is an ongoing alien vegetation removal and indigenous tree-planting programme. And, unlike most farms - which follow a preventative spray timetable, we only spray our crops if an immediate threat is perceived. Thats just for starters. You see, we put Nature (our factory) first. Regardless of cost or inconvenience. So the next time you open a bottle of Hartenberg, youd better believe its very very green. Even if its colour is distinctly red. |
