Introduction

yeast beta-(1,3)-D-Glucan product is a special compound derived from the cell walls of yeast ( Saccharomyces cerevisiae ). It’s chemical structure is long beta-(1,6)-glucan branched beta-(1,3)- glucan. It is widely accepted now that the beta-(1,3)-D-glucan purified from yeast is the most potent anti-infective immunomodulator of all species of beta-(1,3)-glucans. Research indicates that beta-(1,3)-D-Glucan triggers an immune response in the body creating a system of defense against viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic or neoplastic invaders, lowers blood cholesterol levels, Inhibits tumor growth. Many studies also showed that beta-(1,3)-D-Glucan is a powerful free radical scavenger.
