Fujian Sugar Industry Corp. is an economic entity with the managerial function of planning, supervision, coordination and service for sugar industry of Fujian Province. The Corp. possesses two 10--thousand ?ton warehouses, three 1.5--thousand -ton molasses tanks, one 2-thousand -cubic-meter alcohol tank and one thousand--ton floating pier, etc. It has established three joint ventures with the firms from Taiwan, H. K and has three subsidiaries in Xiamen Special Economic Zone and Fuzhou. Keeping close contacts with the main sugar dealers of the world, the Corp. has made considerable progress in I/E of the sugar and becomes one of the main sugar processors and exporters of China. The Corp. has been honored with the title AAA Credit Enterprise, the highest credit given by China Industrial and Commercial Bank, Fuzhou Branch for three successive years and rewarded with the title "advanced exporter for earning foreign exchange" by the Provincial Government several times since 1991; and in 1993 it was ranked the 373rd in the volume of I/E in "China's 500 Top enterprises" by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.
