This is a FILLED SQUARE BISCUIT.
Arluy specialises in this product, particularly in small sales packets of 2 or 4 biscuits that can be grouped into a Pack of 5 for supermarket sales.
The small packets are complicated technically-speaking and the small formats give little turnover (a lot of packets have to be sold to make volume).
However, for us this is a very interesting sector and not at all mature, in fact it is yet to be developed with new formats and flavours.
Classification of the Sandwich.
ARLUY works on four lines of square, rounded, snack and speciality biscuits, each with a wide variety of flavours, formats and presentations that cover the needs of our customers.
ARLUY is a family-run biscuit making company that combines the knowledge of several generations devoted to the production of biscuits with technological innovation and a young yet experience staff. ARLUY was founded in 1988 after the San Juan family had so their previous biscuit company, the well-known MARBÚ.
The high level of specialisation acquired by ARLUY has led it to focus on the market of filled biscuits and medium specialities, for which it markets over 50 references in different flavours, sizes and formats as one of the leading Spanish manufacturers in this segment.
The medium and high specialist speciality segment has experienced the highest growth and is the segment at which most consumers aim, who are increasingly demanding and informed when purchasing.
Our company also had a clear aim to export since its start and currently sells its products in over 70 different countries, exporting 35% of total production, which is foreseen to reach 50% in 2005.
ARLUY works day after day to reach the highest quality standards. This effort has been recognised by the UNE certificate ISO 9002 one and with the subsequent awarding of the ISO 14001:1996 Environmental Management certificate.
All of this devotion has led to 30 Arluy biscuits being eaten every second in some part of the world.
