Criollo Cacao represents less than 10 percent of world cacao production. Criollo Cacao is the most expensive and it is the most sought after of all varieties of cacao, because it is very difficult to find. Criollo Cacao is appreciated as the variety of cacao with the best flavor and it is recognized as the highest quality.

Origin: The cacao producing areas in Peru are: Tumbes, Piura, Cajamarca, Amazonas, San Martín, Huánuco, Ucayali, Junín, Ayacucho and Cusco.

Uses of Cacao in Different Industries:

-Cacao Beans: for the manufacture of cacao derivatives (nibs, powder, Butter, liquor).
