Baird Foods Ltd specialises in the manufacturer and packing of pork products. The managing Director has been in the Food industry for over 30 years. He has owned two companies before, the first was Barratts and Baird a family business which was a multi species company which Slaughtered, deboned and Retail packed for Tesco, as well as supplying a lot of the major manufacturers in the UK and abroad employing some 1200 people. The company was sold to Avonmore(Now Glanbia) in 1992
In 1995 he setup a new company from scratch called Heathfield Foods Ltd. Heathfield foods was a smaller company employing 100 people and was much more straight forward in that we deboned bellies and shoulders for the manufacturing sector. On the same site he also started up The Tailor Made Rib Company which specialised in cutting and calibrating of ribs. Nick sold this company to the management in 2005.
Baird Foods Ltd. As mentioned above we specialise in the manufacture, sourcing and packing of manufacturing products.
Regarding the packing and freezing, this is done at a factory in Holland close to the major suppliers in Holland and Germany. We take in fresh product (rindless 50vl Belly, Jowls, Shoulder, Cutting Fat, 80vl Trim etc) from good quality suppliers who are BRC approved with full traceability, which we further inspect down an inspection line to make sure that there are no bone chips, cartilage, gristle and conforms fully to the criteria set by our customers, this means we can offer you a very good quality product and also piece of mind that the non conformances are kept down to a minimum. We can also supply other items from good quality cutting plants. more
