RED WINE
There’s nothing traditional about blending Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon; after all, in France, one’s grown in the Rhone Valley, the other in Bordeaux. But Australians prefer to make their own traditions, and the two grapes have come together Down Under in ways a Frenchman might never expect. The Retí, for example, shines with notes of blackberry, black cherry, and mint, plus a touch of smoke. It’s full-bodied, but focused, with good length.
