Snapper has a tender white to pinkish flesh with a sweet, mild flavour.

Snapper is a member of the sea bream family. Average length 30-60cm. Average weight 0.5 to 4kg. However, exceptional specimens of 10kg or more are occasionally caught. Golden pink to reddish above, with numerous blue spots on the upper sides, paler to white below. Strong teeth; moderate firm scales.
