21 Food Attends World Food Moscow Once Again, Looking for Global Food Buyers

Russia is the biggest country of Eastern Europe with the population of 150 million. In year 2005, its economic growth rate increases by 7%, which improves people's living standards, and the consumers' demand of foods is raising rapidly. According to a latest database from Russian Ministry of Food and Agriculture, it is seen that the foods produced by Russia itself are far from being satisfied by the consumers' demands, so Russia has to import large quantity of foods annually. Russia has highly dependency on foreign trades, while for China, foods have been the main export products towards Russia, and so we two countries are highly complementary between each other. At the same time, it brings China infinite potential business opportunities in food area. This is the second time for 21food to attend WORLD FOOD MOSCOW following the first attendance in 2007, hoping to present the newest trade show afairs for the food companies.

WORLD FOOD MOSCOW, which is the biggest international food & beverage expo in Commonwealth of the Independent States (CIS) is hosted by ITE Group PLC annually, and it is the biggest and famous international food trade show in Russia. It has been successfully held for 17 years since 1992 in Russia.

From 2008, Sep 23th to 26th, exhibitors and visitors coming from all over the world attend the seventeenth WORLD FOOD MOSCOW in Expocentre Exhibition Hall of Russia.

Followed by last year' attendance of WORLD FOOD MOSCOW, 21food comes again this year by the second time cooperation with ITE Group PLC, being as the sole Chinese invited media. This year our exhibition hall is in Hall 7 (Fruits & Vegetables Hall), and the booth No is G903a.

The expo lasts for 4 days, during these days, we welcome many Russian buyers including some world famous companies, say, METRO GROUP and so on.

At the trade show, Mr.Lgor Fedorv and Mr.Maxim Gladkov, who work in Buyer Fruits and Vegetables Department of METRO GROUP show great interests in 21food, and we give them 10 Chinese Food Suppliers and CD-ROMs, with the other 9 portions for their colleagues working in different Food Purchasing Departments. We believe that our Gold Suppliers will have the opportunity of beginning the transaction with this notable group!

The interested buyers all not forget to write down their buying leads and leave with our Chinese Food Suppliers and CD-ROMs along with them. We also check the accuracy of their contact information, for example email, telephone number and so on, in case of making mistakes. Food industry plays an important role in Russia, mainly are meat and canned food processing industry, milk & dairy products industry, fishing, sugar industry, beverage and paste processing industry, etc, among which meat industry is the biggest subsidiary industrial department with the proportion of 1/4 of food gross industrial output. In recent years, the economy of food industry in Russia develops slowly because of these years' economy depression, and other reasons include the output of meat and paste products sharply decrease, the investment on food industry is inadequate and the agricultural production is unsteady.

The exhibited products are various and abundance, you can see the foods like chocolates, dried and fresh vegetables, agricultural and sideline products, meat & poultry products, spices & seasonings, instant foods, grains & edible oils, frozen foods, health foods, milk & dairy products, bakery foods, coffees, biscuits, confectioneries, mushrooms, teas, native products, food processing tech., food processing machineries, ice cream processing tech., and packaging tech., etc.

Seen from an objective angle, food industry does play an important role on the recovery of Russia's economy, however, it still largely depends on importing foods form other countries. Italy, Sweden, Japan, Korea and other more countries also come to this trade show, and we are pleased to see that Chinese foods have been highly accepted in Russia Market because of competitive prices and high quality. How time flies! The seventeenth WORLD FOOD MOSCOW had been closed after four days of exhibition. Thus far, 21food have been to both home and abroad trade shows heaps of times, during this course, we bear this belief in mind-try our best to help our members grow faster, higher, stronger. Looking back to the year of 2008, we can feel that it is an unordinary year for Chinese economy. The traditional industry is not optimistic seen from various statistics. At this special moment, we should be more prepared with the coming situations and make it develop better. In fact, it is!
