• Brief introduction to the products
Green year Brand Medium temperature α-Amylase preparation is produced via submerged fermentation of Bacillus subtilis and modern extraction technique.
• Function and characteristics
It can hydrolyze α-1,4 glycosidic linkages of the starch. Starch molecule is randomly hydrolyzed into different length of short chain dextrin and small amount of low molecular weight sugars. Both amylose and amplopectin can be randomly hydrolyzed, resulting in the rapid decrease of the viscosity of starch solution. The process makes the starch to be liquefied, so the medium temperature α-Amylase is also called liquefying enzyme.
• Enzyme activity
Medium temperature α-Amylase (Liquid): 2,000 μ/ml, 3,000 μ/ml
(Solid): 2,000 μ/g
Definition of enzyme activity: one milliliter (gram) of enzyme solution liquefies one gram of soluble starch per hour at the condition of 60a?? and pH 6.0 is defined as one unit of enzyme activity.
• Application condition
Optimal pH range: 6.0 to 6.5; Effective pH range: 6.0 to 7.0
Otimal temperature range: 60 to 70a??; Effective temperature range: 60 to 90a??
It will lose activities badly when pH is below 5.0. When the temperature is between 70 and 90a??, the reaction rate increases with the increment of the temperature, but the activity loss increases along with the temperature. It can be used in the liquefying process at temperature of 90a??. The increase in the concentration of starch improves the stability of enzyme activity. Calcium ion can improve the heat stability of the enzyme.
• Package and storage
1. Liquid products are packed with 25 kg non-toxic plastic barrel. Solid products are packed with film bag (2 kg/bag) as inner wrapper and carton as outside wrapper, and net weight of each carton is 20 kg.
2. With the best efforts to avoid insolation and high temperature during the transportation and storage. Keep the environment clean and cool, and it is better to store at low temperature (environmental temperature below 25a??). When stored at 25a?? for six months or at 5a?? for one year, the enzyme activity is not less than 90% of the labeled value.
• Application scope
This product is applicable for liquification process in the production of starch sugar, alcohol, beer, monododium glutamate and in other fermentation industry, and the desizing of textile, printing and dyeing. When this product is used in alcohol, citric acid, fermentation industry and other food processing, the dosage and application condition of the enzyme could be decided through experiments according to its characteristics.
